Job Description

  • Provide enterprise level leadership of the financial management function, including oversight of both strategic and operational financial performance, ensuring compliance with applicable legislative and accounting frameworks.
  • Setting a strategic financial direction and provide executive assurance over budget development, internal and external financial reporting, preparation of general purpose financial statements while ensuring appropriate financial controls and oversight are maintained.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to support effective financial governance, accountability and performance outcomes.
  • strengthen commercial and financial acumen across the organisation by partnering with senior leaders to improve understanding.
  • Provide authoritative advice on financial sustainability, funding and delivery models and contracts and partnerships.
  • Strengthen organisational capability through inclusive leadership and sound governance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • Qualifications in accounting, finance
  • Proven experience in financial management within the public sector or a similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
