Job Description

The role:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Analyse and translate business needs into technical specifications, including user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with technology teams to ensure project deliverables align with business objectives.
  • Assist in the development of functional and technical documentation.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings to facilitate effective communication between teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve systems and processes.
  • Support testing, implementation, and post-implementation review of technology solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Business Analyst should have:

  • Proven experience in business analysis within the public sector or technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of systems and software development life cycles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and gathering requirements.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies relevant to business analysis.
  • Relevant qualifications in business analysis, IT, or a related field.
