Our client, a rapidly expanding global hospitality company, is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team based in the inner North of Melbourne. Job Description

Reporting to the Group Accountant, the Accounts Payable Officer responsibilities will include

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the wider Accounting & Finance department as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable PT should have:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role within hospitality or retail industry.
  • The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of end-to-end Accounts Payable experience and be comfortable working in a standalone role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
  • They should be tech-savvy, able to quickly learn and adapt to new software - experience with Xero a bonus!
  • Most importantly, they will be organised, motivated, eager to learn, and bring a positive, energetic personality to the team. The successful candidate must have full working rights and be based in Melbourne.
