This includes the development of operating and capital budgets, budget and performance reporting, analysis and forecasting services, budget maintenance, costing and investment analysis.Job DescriptionThe key duties of this role include;Provide strategic and operational financial management services, ensuring financial information integrity is maintained and complies with financial legislation, standards, policies and practices.contributing to the delivery of contemporary budget and financial management servicesCoordinate the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, forward estimates and analysis, reporting and forecasting of departmental financial performance and position.Contribute to the continuous review, development and implementation of business improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management and reporting processes.Provide training and advice to senior executives and staff regarding the development and monitoring of budgets and performance to ensure best practice and governance meet quality financial management outcomes.Prepare and deliver timely quality reports, submissions and briefings on financial management issues and impactsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support financial management initiatives and ensure departmental objectives and agreed outcomes are achieved.Participate in projects and working groups to ensure outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes and meet business and client's needs.The Successful ApplicantA successful candidate should have:A strong background in accounting and finance, ideally within the public sector.Proficiency in financial management systems and tools.Sound understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.What's on OfferHourly rate of $78.02Temporary role with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector initiatives.Convenient Albion location with access to public transport and amenities.A supportive and collaborative team environment.Opportunities to further develop your skills in accounting and finance.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to make a meaningful impact in the public sector.
