This role will play a critical part in bridging business and technology working closely with functional and technical stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Workforce Planning, and IT.

Job Description

  • Lead workshops to elicit, analyse, and document business and system requirements across workforce management, rostering, HRIS, and payroll domains
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications, ensuring traceability across the delivery lifecycle
  • Document current and future state processes, including workforce scheduling, award interpretation, and payroll processing
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and operational leaders
  • Support implementation of workforce management (Optima), HRIS (e.g., Workday), and payroll integrations
  • Work closely with solution architects, developers, and vendors to ensure requirements are accurately translated into system design
  • Assist in data mapping, integration design, and validation activities
  • Support system, integration, parallel payroll, and UAT phases by validating test cases and expected outcomes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Analyst should have:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large-scale transformation or system implementation programs
  • Strong experience with Workday, HRIS, payroll systems, and workforce/rostering solutions
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, award interpretation, and workforce scheduling
  • Experience working in complex, highly regulated environments (healthcare industry experience highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both functional and technical stakeholders and translate between the two
  • Strong documentation skills (process maps, user stories)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
