An opportunity for a Finance Analytics Manager to join a growing Tech organisation based in Melbourne. The role will commence immediately as a 6-month contract. There may be an opportunity beyond the initial term for the right individual.

Job Description

The Finance Analytics Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Extract, validate and analyse financial and operational data from multiple business systems to support reporting and commercial decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards that provide timely insights into financial performance, operational KPIs and business trends.
  • Produce accurate and insightful weekly, monthly and ad hoc management reports for senior leaders.
  • Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful financial analysis.
  • Interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by automating reporting processes and reducing manual data preparation through Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and consistency of financial data through robust reconciliation and validation processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting by providing timely analysis and performance insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT and business teams to improve data quality, reporting capability and financial visibility across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain reporting documentation, data definitions and dashboard governance to support consistent decision-making.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and commercially focused manner.
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to leverage data analytics and reporting technology.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Insights/Finance Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Power BI , building and maintaining Power BI dashboards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial data clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a temporary and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial software and systems.
