About Our Client

Our client turns over in excess of $150 million in the construction sector, servicing a diverse range of clients.

Job Description

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimise financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Experience in the construction industry/project accounting highly regarded
  • A deep understanding of WIP and complex revenue recognition
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
  • Excellent ability to challenge the status quo and process improve
  • Demonstrated ability to support key decision makers on acquisitions, funding, and 5 year planning.
  • Strong ability to build trust with operational stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • A proven driver of margin improvement and overall commercial performance.
