A well-known WA organisation operating within an essential services environment. The business plays an important role in supporting communities across the state and has a strong focus on reliability, service delivery and operational excellence.

The finance team supports a broad and busy organisation, providing day-to-day transactional support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, supplier and customer queries, invoice workflows, reconciliations and general finance activity. This is a practical, hands-on environment where accuracy, communication and the ability to work well within a small team are important.

Job Description

  • Support day-to-day transactional finance activity across AP and AR
  • Manage invoice workflows, including receipting, checking and follow-up
  • Respond to supplier, customer and internal stakeholder queries
  • Assist with customer invoices, credit notes and payment reminders
  • Support reconciliations and general finance administration
  • Accurately process and update information within finance systems
  • Work closely with a small finance team to support leave cover
  • Pick up internal processes quickly and provide hands-on support where needed

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should have:

  • Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or transactional finance role
  • Confident working across both accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial information
  • Comfortable managing supplier, customer and internal stakeholder queries
  • Able to pick up new systems and processes quickly
  • Reliable, adaptable and happy to support where needed
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, team-focused approach
  • Available at short notice and comfortable with a short-term contract assignment
