Job Description

This is a hands-on, on-site accounting role supporting the Finance Manager and wider team in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment.

You will take ownership of core finance processes, including:

  • Month-end close
    • WIP validation and valuation at month-end
    • General Ledger reconciliations
    • Accruals and adjustments
    • AR/AP reporting and issue resolution
  • Inventory & Stock Control
    • Stock reconciliations and stocktakes
    • Unit pricing and valuation checks
    • Ensuring stock, WIP and invoicing align
  • Intercompany & Reporting
    • Managing intercompany transactions and recharges
    • Working across multiple BUs with tight reporting timelines
    • Supporting consolidation outcomes for group reporting
  • Operational Support
    • Liaising with AR/AP to ensure invoicing accuracy
    • Investigating discrepancies across stock, sales and operations
    • Supporting finance process improvements as systems evolve (PRISM, NetSuite, TM1)
  • You'll work closely with the Finance Manager and be trusted to own your work independently, as well as step in during periods of leave.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A hands-on accounting background (month-end, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany, WIP, FAR)
  • Strong problem-solving skills (you work things through before escalating)
  • The ability to adapt to change and shifting processes
  • A proactive and flexible attitude (willing to step outside your role when needed)
  • Confidence working across stakeholders in operations, sales and finance
  • High levels of integrity, ownership and reliability
  • Comfort in a manual, detail-heavy environment where systems aren't perfect



You MUST have:

  • a relevant Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
  • be located in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria
  • experience with Work-In-Progress, Fixed Asset Register, Intercompany Transactions and Stock Accounting
