As the Business Support Officer - Governance, you will play a vital role in supporting governance, compliance and information management functions. Working with a collaborative and values-driven team, you'll help coordinate key organisational processes, maintain accurate records and provide professional support on a range of governance matters.

Job Description

  • Provide high-level administrative and business support to the Governance function within a busy corporate services team.
  • Coordinate governance-related processes including document management, correspondence, meeting administration, records management and reporting.
  • Assist with Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, statutory registers and compliance activities.
  • Support the management of community enquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Maintain accurate records and information management practices in line with legislative requirements and organisational policies.
  • Provide confidential executive support and assist with coordinating key governance and organisational processes.
  • Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and contribute to policy, procedure and governance improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in administration, governance, records management and compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of Local Government governance processes or relevant legislation would be highly regarded.
