This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations within an ASX listed manufacturer. You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure financial integrity and support strategic decision-making.

Job Description

The Interim Financial Controller will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation of financial reports, including budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Oversee cash flow management and optimise financial performance.
  • Assist with audit queries and requirements
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals within the accounting & finance department.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Monitor and control financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls are in place.
  • Work closely with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Audit background preferred
