Hands-on position that will take ownership of the finance function, lead the external audit process and ensure successful delivery of the Annual Report, while overseeing a complex monthly reporting cycle.

Job Description

  • Lead preparation and delivery of the Annual Report.
  • Manage the external audit process and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee monthly management and board reporting.
  • Provide leadership to a small finance team across payroll, accounts payable and financial accounting.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner closely with the CFO on key business initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven Financial Controller experience within the mining sector (critical)
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and internal controls expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience managing year-end audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience working with complex reporting and forecasting models.
  • Previous experience overseeing payroll functions, including end-to-end payroll processes and compliance obligations.
  • The ability to quickly understand existing processes and provide continuity during a period of transition.
  • Exposure to Pronto ERP will be highly regarded.
