Job Description

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.
  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods
  • Develop and implement efficient and standardised warehouse procedures to optimize productivity and minimise errors
  • Managing orders and work flow for the warehouse.
  • Manage inventory to meet production requirements.
  • Maintaining systems for accurate stock control
  • Liaising and supporting the Production team to fulfil production plans, with the delivery of materials and packaging in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean warehouse including company HACCP documents
  • Motivating and training new staff within company procedures
  • Developing & improving company systems & procedures.
  • Clear and accurate daily communication with our customers regarding variation to PO's & / or delivery times
  • Lead stocktakes (quarterly, monthly, and cycle counts) across warehouses, PSA bins, and pallet types to ensure system accuracy.
  • Investigate stock variances and manage write-offs for loss, damage, or expiry.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, values-driven team across the Receivals and Finished Goods Warehouses.
  • Set clear expectations and proactively manage performance, training, and development.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse team, including performance management of team members, skills assessments and allocation of labour, including rostering.
  • Lead and motivate warehouse team members to improve site performance.
  • Ensure the development of team members with the creation, monitoring, and implementation of training plans.
  • Lead Problem Solving activities and continuous improvement with team members for waste initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance of leasing partners utilising our site for warehousing purposes for adherence to agreed and aligned procedural requirements

The Successful Applicant

A successful Distribution and Receivals Manager should have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Logistics & Supply chain, warehouse Management role
  • Demonstrated experience leading warehouse and distribution teams in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Proven track record in managing stock control systems, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
  • Experience managing freight, transport providers, and external DC relationships.
  • Strong exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and warehouse management software.
