Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful Payroll Officer will be responsible for:

  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Maintain employee records and update payroll systems as required.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries and provide resolutions promptly.
  • Generate payroll reports for management as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Assist with payroll audits and continuous process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
