Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing (weekly/fortnightly cycles)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry awards, legislation, and regulations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
  • Process superannuation, PAYG, and statutory obligations
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and support financial reporting
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data integrity
  • Support audits and contribute to process improvements

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Previous experience in a Payroll Officer position
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience working within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment (highly regarded)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with payroll systems
