Job Description

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Managing payroll adjustments, terminations and off-cycle payments
  • Maintaining payroll records and ensuring data integrity
  • Responding to employee payroll enquiries
  • Supporting payroll compliance across taxation, superannuation and legislative requirements
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Participating in payroll system testing and process improvements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the payroll function

The Successful Applicant

The successful Payroll Officer will have:

  • Proven track record within a busy end to end payroll environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax and superannuation requirements
  • Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ERP, payroll or HRIS systems
