About Our Client

Our client is a multi-site, depot-based organisation operating in the utility space across Victoria and regional NSW. Following a recent restructure and leadership reset, they are investing in procurement as a key driver of commercial performance and operational consistency.

Job Description

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for stabilising and maturing procurement across a decentralised business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end procurement strategy and execution
  • Establish governance, policies, and procurement frameworks
  • Support and coordinate procurement across multiple depots
  • Manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings
  • Improve spend visibility, reporting, and compliance
  • Implement structured sourcing processes (RFQ/RFP, category mgmt)
  • Partner with operations, site leaders, and finance
  • Develop and mentor a junior procurement resource



The Successful Applicant

You bring proven experience in procurement leadership within industrial, construction, manufacturing, or logistics environments. You are commercially astute, hands-on, and comfortable building structure in a low-maturity environment.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management capability
  • Experience in multi-site, decentralised environments
  • Ability to deliver cost savings and process improvements
  • Confidence influencing stakeholders across operations
  • A pragmatic, self-starting approach with resilience and adaptability
