The role of Sales Engineer in the retail industry, based in Perth, involves driving sales growth and managing client relationships across Industrial sectors in WA. This role is highly consultative, selling sensors and automation products to engineers and consultants.

Job Description

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers on product applications and solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to showcase the benefits of products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
  • Prepare and manage sales reports and forecasts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sales Engineer should have:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the engineering and manufacturing industry or a technical field.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain product applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • A valid driver's licence to facilitate travel to client sites.
