Job Description

  • Prepare and manage financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to support the organisation's financial planning.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the Accounting & Finance department in other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation such as CA or CPA (or working towards).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and analysis within the engineering industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
