The Senior Estimator will play a key role in managing and delivering accurate cost estimates for projects within the civil infrastructure market in NSW. About Our Client

Our client is a respected and experienced civil engineering company operating across Queensland and New South Wales. They specialise in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions and have built a strong reputation for excellence and professionalism within the civil construction industry.

Job Description

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects within the civil infrastructure sector.
  • Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for inclusion in estimates.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and records for future reference.
  • Present and justify estimates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs and provide updates as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Estimator should have:

  • Strong experience in estimating within the civil infrastructure industry
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Expert estimation or similar software experience preferred
  • A solid understanding of construction methods, materials and market rates.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management or a related field.
  • Ability to work self sufficiently and autonomously
