Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end processes.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and provide insights into variances.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Oversee tax compliance and reporting, including BAS and FBT submissions.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities to assist management decision-making.
  • Enhance internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance team members.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA (or equivalent) are highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
