Job Description

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT application projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues promptly.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project performance and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all project activities.
  • Lead and mentor team members to achieve project milestones and foster professional growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Technology department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior IT Applications Project Manager should have:

  • Proven experience managing IT application projects within the Transport & Distribution sector or similar industries.
  • 10+ years' experience delivering IT application projects
  • Proven capability managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong experience across system integration, application rewrites, and operational platforms
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors and delivery partners
  • Strong planning, risk management, and financial control skills
