Job Description

The Statutory Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with technical accounting guidance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Other ad hoc project, process improvement work

The Successful Applicant

A successful Statutory Accounting Manager should have:

  • Audit foundation highly desirable
  • Exposure within a publicly listed environment
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of statutory reporting standards.
  • Experience in financial reporting within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and tools.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
