Job Description

  • Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of abnormal size and shape goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise logistics and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate maintenance and servicing of the transport fleet.
  • Lead and mentor the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Address and resolve any transport-related issues or delays promptly.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transport Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in transport or logistics management, ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience working with complex and abnormal size and shape loads.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.
  • Be willing to work in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with fleet management and maintenance practices.
