About Our Client

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial, accounting, budgeting, and statutory reporting processes. You will lead the month‑end close, oversee compliance obligations, manage cash flow, and coordinate year‑end audit and external advisors.

Job Description

  • Leading and managing the finance team, including workload planning and capability development
  • Running the end‑to‑end month‑end close process with analysis and commentary
  • Preparing monthly and annual financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
  • Preparing annual financial statements for review
  • Managing cash flow and maintaining effective cost controls
  • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing accuracy
  • Reviewing contracts and invoices to ensure correct revenue recognition
  • Authorising supplier payments and monitoring banking and reconciliations
  • Preparation and oversight of BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and income tax obligations
  • Liaising with external accountants and coordinating the annual audit
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining finance policies and procedures
  • Supporting ad‑hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives



The Successful Applicant

You are a qualified finance professional who isn't afraid to be in a hands on position whislt leading a team. You bring strong technical capability, sound judgement, and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders.

To be successful, you will have:

  • CA or CPA Qual (or near)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
  • Experience leading month‑end close and statutory reporting
  • Medium Excel skills and strong systems capability
  • ERP system experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain financial outcomes to non‑finance stakeholders
