Job Description

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide commercial, strategic financial insights and recommendations.
  • Enhance financial systems, processes, and controls for operational efficiency.
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Proven expertise in financial management and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
