Job Description

  • Lead the remediation and enhancement of accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.
  • Drive historical month-end close activities, including complex balance sheet reconciliations and the resolution of legacy accounting matters.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency within NetSuite.
  • Manage the migration, review, and optimisation of the fixed asset register, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practice.
  • Perform technical accounting analysis across key areas including transfer pricing, lease accounting, employee share schemes (ESOP), and business combinations.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial reporting and statutory financial statements in accordance with AASB/IFRS requirements.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support year-end audits and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Assist with the development and documentation of robust financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting frameworks.
  • Contribute to system enhancements, finance projects, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening the finance function.
  • Provide commercial and technical accounting support to the wider finance team, helping to navigate complex accounting issues and reporting requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Availability immediately or at short notice
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Big 4/Mid Tier audit background preferred
  • 5+ years of industry experience ideal
  • Experience in tech/SaaS ideal but not required
  • Experience with Netsuite highly regarded
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • A challenger and process improvement mindset
