About Our Client

We're partnering with a well‑established not‑for‑profit organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor into a small, collaborative People & Culture team. This true generalist role provides hands‑on advisory exposure across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on supporting leaders through change and embedding consistent, scalable people practices.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice aligned with policies, Awards and legislation
  • Supporting performance management, conduct matters, PIPs, consultations and workplace issue resolution
  • Assisting with investigations and ER/IR matters in partnership with an external HR provider
  • Drafting employment correspondence including contracts, variations and performance outcomes
  • Supporting end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Managing employee lifecycle processes including probation, reviews, contract changes and exits
  • Coordinating compliance training and maintaining LMS records
  • Supporting HR reporting, audits and workforce documentation
  • Contributing to people projects, process improvement and capability uplift initiatives

The Successful Applicant

You'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and modern Awards
  • Experience supporting ER/IR matters including performance and conduct issues
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume environment
  • Strong communication skills and confidence partnering with leaders at all levels
  • Experience using HRIS and/or LMS platforms (Employment Hero / Go1 highly regarded)
