About Our Client

Our client is a well-established healthcare and community services organisation committed to delivering high-quality care and maintaining strong compliance standards. Due to increased project demands, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Audit Support Officer to assist with a critical payroll audit and remediation project.

Job Description

  • Conduct end-to-end payroll processing and payroll audit activities
  • Analyse historical payroll data to ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, NES, and SHADS awards
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and calculation issues
  • Prepare detailed reports and provide timely payroll audit support to management
  • Manage complex industrial agreements, including shift and night penalty structures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and legislative compliance changes
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable/debt collection functions as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and patient-related information
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders while also managing workloads autonomously

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Audit Officer should have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Payroll Officer or Payroll Manager positions
  • Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience within medium to large organisations
  • Advanced analytical and auditing skills with the ability to manage large datasets
  • Sound knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, NES, SHADS, and payroll legislation
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Dayforce experience advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Police clearance (or ability to provide a statutory declaration for immediate commencement)
  • Flu and COVID vaccinations highly regarded
