We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist or Payroll Manager to join our team on a short-term contract, supporting a critical ERP/payroll system implementation project. Based in Brisbane , this role sits within our Payroll Team and will play a key role in ensuring a smooth transition to our new system.

About Our Client

This is a hands-on role focused on supporting the end-to-end implementation of a new payroll/ERP system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and minimal disruption to business operations.This hands-on role will assist with data migration, testing, and ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processes during system transition. Ideal for candidates with strong payroll experience and exposure to system implementations.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation and configuration of a new payroll/ERP system
  • Assisting with data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and system vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Testing payroll processes and system outputs (UAT)
  • Identifying process improvements and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Providing support to the payroll team during the transition period

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in a payroll-focused role (specialist, senior, or managerial level)
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements
  • Prior experience supporting or working on a payroll or ERP system implementation (highly regarded)
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capability
