Job Description

The role will provide critical support to delivery teams for the ongoing HME strategy and contracting workstreams, including development and implementation of HME contracts. The role will require analysis of alternative supply options and commercial arrangements.Reporting to the Senior Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Leading end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle activities (strategy, sourcing, negotiation, award and contract administration).
  • Supporting development and implementation of HME procurement and contracting strategies. (Heavy Mobile Equipment)
  • Working with stakeholders to define scope, develop forecasts and package HME requirements into commercially viable contract structures.
  • Leading or supporting tender processes, evaluations, negotiations and contract awards for replacement HME arrangements.
  • Providing commercial input into strategy decisions, including make/buy, self-perform, and supply market options.
  • Ensuring procurement activities are delivered in accordance with governance, compliance and system requirements.
  • Managing multiple work packages concurrently to meet agreed commercial timelines and delivery outcomes.
  • Building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders through clear communication, practical advice and commercially sound decision-making.



The Successful Applicant

To be successfully considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong experience in procurement and contracts within construction, mining, infrastructure or heavy equipment environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting complex sourcing and contracting activities.
  • Experience across the full contract lifecycle, including strategy development, tendering, negotiation, award and contract management.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to develop scope, forecast demand and define procurement strategies.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify, assess and manage contractual and procurement risk.
  • Ability to provide clear commercial recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across project and site teams.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project delivery environment.
  • Willingness to travel to site as required.
