About Our Client

My client is a leading industrial services provider.

Job Description

  • Lead the preparation of the group's statutory financial statements
  • Manage full-year financial statement preparation (including consolidations) process end-to-end
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the audit process
  • Prepare or review the group income tax return, including tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations
  • Manage BAS and GST compliance across all group entities, ensuring accurate and timely lodgement
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting packs with commentary and variance analysis
  • Review and post journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and intercompany transactions
  • Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly
  • Manage day-to-day banking operations including payment approvals, bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
  • Administer corporate credit card program including reconciliations, expense policy compliance and limit management
  • Maintain banking relationships and manage bank facility documentation and covenant reporting

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
  • Mid Tier/Big 4 Audit background preferred
  • 2-4 years in a technical Financial or Senior Financial Accounting role
  • Experience with SAP highly regarded
  • Availability immediately or at short notice
  • Self starter able to take ownership of deliverables
