The IT Technical Lead - Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data solutions using ServiceNow, SQL databases, ETL and API's for data ingestion pipelines and Power BI.
  • Brisbane based candidates only 2/3 hybrid environment

Job Description

The Digital Technology and Information (DTI) Solution Delivery Team drives strategic technology programs supporting operational and cybersecurity goals. Over a two-year Operational Technology upgrade program targeting inefficient data collection and data quality, DTI is delivering key initiatives including providing tablets to Operational staff to replace paper formsKey Responsibilities:Solution Architecture & Design

· Lead the architecture and design of data solutions using ServiceNow and related technologies.

· Define best practices for data modeling, storage, and integration across SQL and cloud platforms.Technical Leadership

· Oversee code reviews, technical documentation, and adherence to development standards.Data Storage & Integration

· Design and implement robust data pipelines using ServiceNow and other tools.

· Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems.Business Intelligence & Reporting

· Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business needs.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.Project Delivery

· Deliver data-related projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, IT, and external vendors.Governance & Security

· Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with security standards.

· Monitor and manage access controls, data lineage, and audit trails.

The Successful Applicant

Required Skills & Qualifications:· Proven experience in leading technical teams in data and analytics projects.

· Experience with Mobile App Builder, Form Designer, and configuring Mobile Agent for offline access.

· Ability to configure Dispatcher Workspace, dynamic scheduling and work order templates.

· Using Flow Designer and Business Rules to streamline FSM processes.

· Designing responsive forms and intuitive layouts for field agents.

· Strong expertise in ServiceNow, SQL Server, ETL tools, and Power BI.

· Solid understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and cloud technologies (e.g., Databricks).

· Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and REST/SOAP integrations for mobile workflows.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data environments.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications:· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

· ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

· Experience with other data tools or data platforms (e.g. Databricks).
