Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
  • Provide support for audits, including liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Support process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
